The Hellenic Police on Wednesday announced that two people have been arrested as suspects in connection with the multiple murders of six Turkish nationals committed in the Attica seaside town of Loutsa (Artemis) on September 11, 2023.
The head of the director of the Security Division of Attica, Brigadier Ioannis Skouras, presented the findings of a police investigation into the murders on Wednesday at the Citizen Protection Ministry, saying that two Turkish nationals had been placed under arrest.
Specifically, a 32-year-old Turk was arrested just hours after the crime as he was preparing to board a flight from Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" for Mytilene, on the island of Lesvos. A second man, a 28-year-old, was arrested on Tuesday morning in the Athens district of Aghios Dimitrios.
According to police, the clothes and shoes they were wearing during the crime were found and confiscated.
