Kefalonia: 50 earthquakes in 24 hours

Seismic activity was also intense in the last 24 hours in Kefalonia, as low-intensity earthquakes were recorded, centered around 10 km west and northwest of Assos.
In particular, according to the National Observatory of Athens, the intense seismic activity started again yesterday at 5:21 in the afternoon and continued until a little while ago on Wednesday morning, at 9:43.
During this period, a total of 50 earthquakes occurred. It is recalled that there was intense activity in Kefalonia in the previous days as well. The strongest earthquake that occurred in the last 24 hours was at 3.8 Richter and the smallest at 1.4 Richter.
Gerasimos Papadopoulos: "We have not crossed the red line of danger"
The seismologist and Research Director of the Geodynamic Institute spoke on ERT news show about the intense seismic activity in Kefalonia and by extension in the Ionian, emphasizing:
"We have local seismic activity, οφh relatively small magnitudes. The largest earthquake was 3.8 on the Richter Scale. We have practically not crossed the red line of danger. We monitor it, evaluate it every day. We have not crossed the red line of danger toσοθνδ τηε αλαρμ."
