Former SYRIZA minister protests against war in Iran with portrait of Khamenei
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Former SYRIZA minister and founder of the "Popular Unity" party Panagiotis Lafazanis demonstrated tonight in the center of Athens protesting against the war in Iran.
Mr. Lafazanis, wanting to emphasize his opposition to the operation against Iran by the US and Israel, came to the anti-war demonstration holding an oversized photo of the now deceased supreme religious leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
It is recalled that Khamenei was killed on the first day of the war, after the devastating bombing of his headquarters by the joint US and Israeli operation.
