Roma arrested for looting burnt-out houses

A Roma man has been arrested for looting a house burned by the Attica fire in Penteli, police officers patrolling areas of northeastern Attica have said.
According to ERT, the man was arrested while removing items from a damaged house.
It is noted that orders have been given, by the Greek Police, to carry out continuous and strict checks on people who have no reason to move around in the areas affected by the fires in northeastern Attica and those who are suspected to be banned from entering the affected areas and to be immediately arrested.
