- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Α 41-year-old woman who, having emptied her wallet shopping, wanted to find a way to justify herself to her husband employed all her screenwriting and story-telling skills.
The 41-year-old, as reported by pelop.gr, went shortly after 14:30 on Wednesday (18/9) to Patras police station and complained that the previous day she was the victim of a robbery by two men riding a motorbike.
As she said, she was with her car stopped on Londou Street and two people approached her who, under threat of a knife, grabbed her wallet, which contained 850 euros and two bank cards.
However, the officers found that the truth was far from the story of the robbery. The woman eventually admitted that the robbery was a figment of her imagination in order to justify the amount she spent for her husband.
She was finally arrested for false testimony and unnecessary mobilization of the authorities.
