Heraklion: Student beats high school principal because he informed his parents of participation in school lockdown

The incident occurred early this morning, with the principal being attacked as he got out of his car to enter the school.

As he told Cretalive, the student was waiting for him and started asking him for an explanation because his parents were informed that he was in the group of squatters who closed the school yesterday, Thursday. Other information states that the principal had informed the parents of an incident involving the minor.

According to cretapost, when the student saw the principal get out of his car and attempt to open the door to enter the school, he approached him and punched him before fleeing in an unknown direction

After the punches he received, the victim of the attack fell on the pavement covered in blood while an ambulance was called to take the teacher to the hospital.

The Secondary Education Directorate of Heraklion has been informed about the incident, with its director, Antonis Foundoulakis, stating "first of all, we hope that the director of the school is fine and we are on his side. The incident will be reported to the police so that legal proceedings can proceed."
