Photos taken by residents in the Sychena area of Patras with the two young men arrested for arson, with one of them - a 19-year-old - confessing to his actions, are published by protothema.gr.
As can be seen in the photos, the two young men, who are expected to be taken to the prosecutor's office today, were riding a motorbike.
One of the photos also shows the bottle that a witness spoke about, testifying that she saw the two young men throw it in a forest area. As protothema.gr previously reported, the bottle has been sent to the ELAS laboratories to determine if and what flammable liquid it contained.
The 19-year-old allegedly confessed to setting the fire that broke out on Wednesday in the Sychena area of Patras, while the 27-year-old is not admitting his involvement in the case for the time being.
As reported by police sources, the 19-year-old indicated the location of the fire and how they moved with the 27-year-old, while there is also the testimony of a woman who allegedly said "I saw them throwing a bottle".
For the 27-year-old, information from the ELAS indicates that a backpack was found in his possession, which he had with him when approaching the site of the fire in Sychena, in which he had a lighter and a mobile phone.

From the use of intelligence, the performance of other investigative actions and the review of video footage, the involvement of two individuals, aged 27 and 19, was identified.
In the context of further investigation, a bottle containing possibly flammable material was located, which, as it turned out, had been discarded by one of the accused in the forest area.
