Greece's drone manufacturing capabilities revealed
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Previously focused on producing and maintaining telecommunications and electronic equipment for the armed forces, the factory was converted in recent months into a drone-manufacturing site.
It now has the capacity to produce over 1,000 drones per year, including conventional and FPV (first-person-view) models used both for reconnaissance and kamikaze (loitering) missions.
According to sources these systems will be integrated into ASDEN and the 4th Army Corps to meet operational needs in Thrace and the Aegean, while production can be increased or expanded to additional military or civilian sites if required.
