In the meantime, and while the investigation by the Romanian authorities continues, critical questions remain unanswered, such as the exact causes of the accident.

Yesterday, the process of identifying all the victims of the fatal traffic accident was completed.

What one of the injured said

One of the injured, who spoke to MEGA, stated that “I remember everything, I didn’t lose consciousness for a single moment” while he said that in the van “we were like brothers, we are very friends”.

“I don’t know, I wasn’t driving. I’m fine, since we’re talking. I don’t know things to tell you for sure so that you have an answer. I’m mourning my friends right now. Today is mourning. I don’t care what they’ve testified. I can’t know what they’ve testified”, said the injured person.

“There are three survivors, me and two others who are in the hospital and seven dead. I’m alone in a room, I don’t know Romanian, I don’t know English well. I accidentally heard their voices, as I was passing by with the wheelchair to get an MRI. I heard them, at least I know that they’re alive. They had a solid night in terms of results and I asked the doctors today about how my friends are. They said good things to me. It is very likely that we will all leave by plane tomorrow. I have some fractures, some breaks”, he said.

“I am not sure how it got stuck there. You will have seen the video. There was time for it to go right and nothing to happen. We rented the van from Edessa, the driver went and picked it up from there and “loaded” us all from Thessaloniki. There were six of us from Imathia and the rest are from other areas that we all met at a common point that we had arranged to meet. We were like brothers, we are very good friends”, he concluded.
