PM Mitsotakis condemns Iran’s attacks on UAE, reiterates Greece’s solidarity and calls for diplomatic solution

The Greek Premier condemned Iran’s attacks against the United Arab Emirates and reiterated Greece’s solidarity, as well as its position on the need to find a diplomatic solution that will lead to sustainable peace, stability, and security in the region. For his part, the President of the UAE thanked the Prime Minister for Greece’s support.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan also discussed their shared interest in freedom of navigation, as enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, as an essential prerequisite for international peace, secure supply chains, and economic prosperity. They also reaffirmed the depth of the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries across a range of sectors, with a focus on the economy and investments.

During Mitsotaki's visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between Greece and the UAE was signed in the field of AI and technology.
