Greek police are investigating the death of an 18-year-old Dutch woman found dead inside her apartment on the island of Kos, local authorities confirmed, though investigators have already ruled out foul play.
The victim was discovered by her 19-year-old roommate, also a Dutch national, who immediately alerted emergency services. Paramedics from the National Emergency Aid Center responded to the property but confirmed the teenager was already deceased on arrival.
Local police said there is currently no evidence of criminal activity surrounding the death. Forensic experts have ordered an autopsy to determine the precise medical cause.
No further details about the circumstances surrounding the death have been released as the investigation continues.
