Greece delivers military equipment to Lebanon

Greece remains firmly at the side of Lebanon and its Armed Forces, contributing to the strengthening of their capabilities, supporting the state sovereignty, security and stability of Lebanon.

The handover ceremony was attended by the Head of the Consular Section of the Greek Embassy in Lebanon, Ignatius Papadimitriou, the Greek Military Attaché, Colonel Nikolaos Salpingidis, as well as officers and officials of the Lebanese Army. It is noted that the first part of this Greek donation was delivered on January 16, 2026.

Support for stability and bilateral cooperation
The provision of assistance is part of Athens' initiatives to provide substantial support to the Lebanese Armed Forces and strengthen their operational capabilities, at a time when the country is facing complex security challenges.

At the same time, this specific action confirms the long-standing cooperation between the armed forces of the two states, highlighting Greece's commitment to the continued support of the Lebanese army, which constitutes the central pillar for maintaining security and stability in the wider region.
