1st Athens Science Festival

“Bringing Science into everyday life” is the main idea of this Festival, which will include experiments, games, workshops, lectures and debates.
Τhe 1st Athens Science Festival is coming to Technopolis in the centre of Athens.
The “1st Athens Science Festival” will take place at the Technopolis complex from April 30 until May 4th. It is the first attempt for launching “Science into everyday life” of adults and children.
The Festival is organized by the British Council and SciCo organization with the collaboration of the Athens Observatory, the National Hellenic Research Foundation, the Onassis Scholarships Foundation, the Hellenic Center for Marine Research and “Demokritos” Research Center.
Adults and children will have the opportunity to ask questions and get scientific answers, meet scientists, carry out experiments, play games, take part in workshops, as well as attend thought-provoking lectures and debates.
The festival will include:
interactive exhibits
debates
science experiments
laboratories and workshops
educational games
theatrical science sketches
documentary screenings
student competitions.
The festival will act as platform for communication between science and the general public, and represents an innovation in science communication.
