Parliament Cafe Defies Anti-Smoking Law

The cafe situated in the Hellenic Parliament has been fined for not abiding by Greece's anti-smoking law.

The cafe's owner has been fined 600 euros after it was revealed by an inspection, that there was no complaints book available for customers, who could document smokers inside. An Attica regional authority health and safety officer's checkup was administered in response to smoking complaints. The Greek government has cracked down on the nation's anti-smoking law recently, which was implemented in September 2010.
