- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A new smart-phone application is under construction, with the contribution of Macedonia-Thrace Ministry and the General Secretariat of Research and Technology, in order to promote tourism in Northern Greece.
The new “Via Egnatia” application will provide tourists traveling along Egnatia Road with all the necessary information to make their trip more interesting.
The new application will be soon ready and will provide travelers along Egnatia Road with interesting information of where to go, which places are of particular natural or historic interest, even with information on where to buy good wine, where to eat and where to stop for a nice walk.
This initiative, launched by the Ministry of Macedonia-Thrace, aims to attract the interest of the smart-phone or tablet friendly visitors that enter into our country from the north by car or train, in an effort to promote tourism in the greater Macedonia, Thrace and Epirus region.
