Iraklion Museum reopens after eight years

The Minoan civilization collection, which hosts most of the findings of the Minoan Palace of Knossos is now open to the public after 8 years.
For the past 8 years, the Archaeological Museum of Iraklion on Crete has been closed for renovation works.
Several sections of museum re-opened to the public progressively. However the most important exhibition rooms, where the Minoan artifacts were found was closed.
As of yesterday, the museum re-opened its doors to the public. The Minoan civilization collection, which hosts most of the findings of the Minoan Palace of Knossos will be open daily from 8 in the morning until 8 in the evening.
However, the renovated museum, which hosts not only exhibits of the Minoan civilization, but exhibits of the Neolithic to the Roman period is certainly worth visiting!
