Pangalos slurs against Glezos, Dourou

The battle of words between SYRIZA and veteran PASOK kingpin Theodoros Pangalos has reached a new crescendo after the latter heaped abuse against Rena Dourou and Manolis Glezos, on a radio show.
Going beyond his usual comments against the main opposition party, Mr Pangalos first laid into veteran politician of the left and axis-resistance figure Manolis Glezos. He decried the placement of Mr Glezos at the top of SYRIZA's EU ticket, saying “you just don't put another 'clown' that can't get on an airplane first on the EU ballot.” He went as far as to liken Mr Glezos to the Gestapo since he “will enter people's homes to search their drawers to see how much money they have.”
For Rena Dourou, candidate for the Attica region, he said that she bestially breaks campaign rules pasting her “dirty face” everywhere, and called for “the publication of a full body shot of her in a Bikini.”
Ms Dourou retorted twitting that women are the first victims when political rhetoric hits bottom, adding that when “such vulgarity finds a public podium then there is something very rotten and deep in society.”
A website that favors Mr Glezos stated that “Pangalos is handing victory to SYRIZA.” this wass alos echoed on the website “Active Citizens Movemen,” making fun of Mr Pangalos' portliness as he is too large to fit into a bathing suit or board an airplane.
SYRIZA secretary general Dimitris Vitsas noted that the Greek people have placed Manolis Glezos so high that such vulgarity cannot touch him.
The comments also angered PASOK, with press rep Odysseas Kostantinopoulos calling the staments by Pangalos provocative and inadmissible.
