Prime Minister Samaras Addresses European Parliament
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras addressed a plenary European Parliament session in Strasbourg.
In his opening statements the leader discussed how the European Union is now better inclined to assist in a financial crisis, in comparison to when Greece's decline hit in 2010.
Referring to the nation's recession timeline, Samaras commented that his main worry was to save the nation two years ago; administered reforms have now ended its six-year recession.
The Prime Minister stated, "We succeeded thanks to the decisiveness of the Greek government and the sacrifices of the Greek people", as reported by Kathimerini.
When questioned about the ongoing Golden Dawn trial, Samaras claimed that its lawmakers were being tried over their crimes and not because of their ideology.
