Second explosion as Sbokos related home

A powerful explosion of an improvised explosive device took place for a second time within two months at a building on the corner of Kolokotronis and Kyprou streets in Nea Erithrea. The building houses restaurant “La Scala” as well as the home of the sister of jailed former general secretary of armaments Yannis Sbokos.
The explosion, heard throughout the northern suburbs of Athens, caused serious damage to the restaurant, and at least five cars in the vicinity, and shattered windows in nearby buildings . No injuries have been reported.
The area has been cordoned off, by police and bomb squad personnel are scouring the area for clues and remnants of the IED.
According to press reports two persons on a motorcycle stopped outside the restaurant at around 04.00 am and told two security personnel to clear the area and then tossed sticks of dynamite at the restaurant entrance and then fled.
On 15 May there was an explosion that nearly leveled the restaurant.
