Combadi Announces Diaspora Volunteer & Vacation Program

The Hellenic travel startup company Combadi, has just announced its volunteer program that offers the Greek Diaspora the opportunity to volunteer and vacation in the homeland!

Combadi has recently released a Press Release on the initiative, that can be read in full below:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Combadi, a Greek travel startup, is proud to announce the establishment of a series of voluntourism experiences aimed at giving the Greek Diaspora the chance to vacation and volunteer in Greece. Following our press release in Greece's official tourism website VisitGreece, we're reaching out to Diaspora Greeks in order to inform them about our offered programs.

Starting in Athens, Combadi has teamed up with BOROUME, a successful non-profit whose mission is to facilitate the distribution of food to the needy and underprivileged. BOROUME requires volunteers with basic Greek language skills who can work to expand its distribution network of donors and recipients.

Combadi has also teamed up with the Emfasis Foundation, a dynamic non-profit involved in daily social street work. The Emfasis Foundation accepts volunteers regardless of their Greek language skills, for administrative roles as well as for hands-on social street work.

During their 1-2 week minimum volunteering commitment, voluntourists will get to know contemporary Athens through a series of alternative themed tours and workshops organized by the Alternative Tours of Athens, a collective of architects and artists with a new Athens perspective.

Combadi's philosophy is that travelers need to come back different from their holidays - we feel so strongly about this, that we've made it our motto. Our first two Greek voluntourism holidays are only the beginning of a long-term commitment to redefine vacationing in Greece. We want to do our part so that everyone who visits (and helps) our beautiful country won't simply have a great time, but rather a life-changing experience from which they'll Come Back Different.

Respectfully yours,

Dimitris Polymenopoulos
