Columbia Defeats Greece 3-0
Greece was defeated today by Columbia at the 2014 World Cup, with a final score of 3-0.
The soccer teams were competing in Group C at Esadio Mineirao. Goals were scored by Columbian players Pablo Armero, Teofilo Gutierrez and James Rodriguez. Armero's point was made in the fifth minute of the game, after Greek goalie Orestis Karnezis couldn't block it. In the 58th minute, Gutierrez scored straight into the net from the six-yard box. Rodriguez kicked in the final goal of the soccer game.
Greek players Giorgos Samaras and Panagiotis Kone attempted goals, but Columbian goalie David Ospina managed to block them. Greece is set to face Japan this Thursday at 6:00 p.m., while Columbia will play against the Ivory Coast at noon on Thursday.
