Greek Central Archaeological Council Rejects Rock Climbers On Meteora

A global group of rock climbers had planned to case Meteora's massive rock structures, however the Greek Central Archaeological Council has rejected the activities.

The yearly Petzi Roctrip was scheduled to occur in central Greece from September 29th to October 3rd, with an expected 1,000 participants that involved rock climbers, journalists and observers, according to reports.

KAS members stated to Kathimerini that required specifics were not presented, including the rock climbing paths or the event's scheduled events.

To Potami denounced the decision and stated: "We have to make use of our land in a way that is beneficial for future generations, without prejudice and red tape getting in the way, but of course, always respectful of the natural beauty and history of the place".
