Kimberly Guilfoyle, the new U.S. Ambassador to Greece, is scheduled to formally begin her duties next week after arriving in Athens, with her first public appearance expected to be at a nightclub.
Ms. Guilfoyle is reportedly moving into the renovated U.S. ambassadorial residence this week.
She is expected to attend a Nov. 2 concert by popular Greek singer Konstantinos Argiros at the Athens Center, according to reports.
The ambassador has previously met Mr. Argiros and his wife, Alexandra Nika.
Ms. Guilfoyle will formally begin her diplomatic duties next Tuesday when she is scheduled to present her credentials to Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas.
The ceremony at the Presidential Mansion will also include the new ambassadors from Norway and Canada.
Her first major event will be hosting a reception Nov. 6-7 during the Transatlantic Energy Cooperation Forum at the Zappeion.
U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Greek Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou are scheduled to attend, highlighting the critical energy partnership between the nations.
The ambassador's tenure begins amid significant interest from Greek political and business figures and high public scrutiny, given her high-profile background in U.S. media and politics.
