Cypriot Cab Drivers Plan Nationwide Strike Tomorrow
Cypriot cab drivers across the nation are planning a strike tomorrow morning, as they believe that the government is not assisting them with challenges in their sector.
The Pancyprian Federation of Urban Taxis stated that taxi drivers will convene at specified locations in the heart of every major municipality, along with the Larnaca and Paphos airports.
The strike will last for four hours beginning at 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. It is in protest of decreasing profits due to the rise in public transport demand, in collaboration with Cyprus' current economic state.
Taxi delegates have already held meetings with Finance Minister Haris Georgiades and Communications Minister Marios Demetriades, along with other governmental representatives. This marks the second time in recent weeks that the taxi cab sector has declared a strike.
