Hizbollah attacks northern Israel

A combined terror attack in Northern Israel in the Har Dov and Metulla area took place in the early afternoon.
The IDF has closed roads in the area to civilian traffic, residents ordered into homes for lockdown. Reports of wounded. Terrorists opened fire on IDF vehicles with RPGs causing 2 IDF vehicles to burst into flames.
More details as they become available. This is the most serious and significant security incident in Northern Israel since the kidnapping of IDF soldiers in 2006 which led to the Second Lebanon War.
Reshet Bet Radio reports IDF preparing significant response. Reports of wounded continues to rise -- now at 9 -- 4 in critical condition, 5 in serious condition.
A rocket was fired at Rajar in Northern Israel...and a house caught on fire, while police blocked road 99 in all directions.
There were reports that a Sr. IDF Officer has been wounded in the attack.
The IDF Chief of Staff has called for a special meeting of the IDF General Staff to discuss the attack and Israel's response.
Hizbollah that took credit for the attack, continued mortar attacks against Har Dov. The IDF began evacuating the Banyas park and Mt Hermon ski resorts in the Golan, in response.
Residentshave been instructed to stay in their homes in the area of the attack in Northern Israel.
