Oil drilling rig in Cyprus

The Saipem 1200 oil drilling rig is currently in the Cypriot Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and is expected to commence drilling in bloc 6 of the “Calypso” plot.
The Cypriot Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry & Tourism, Georgios Lakkotrypis welcomed the ship in the Cypriot national waters in a tweet wishing it the best of luck.
