The daughter of Greece's last king Theodora marries Matthew Kumar
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The wedding of Theodora Glyxburg and Matthew Kumar in Athens was brilliant and extremely impressive.
The couple in love were united in the sacred bonds of marriage in the Metropolis of Athens (where the parents, Queen Sofia of Spain and her brother, Philip had married) on Saturday afternoon, after a delay of 4 years and two postponements.
The bride was dazzling in her elegant, romantic wedding dress by Cilia Krithariotis, while she chose a veil worn by queens and princesses as well as a historic tiara from Egypt.
Theodora and Matthew's four-tiered wedding cake
The wedding party took place at the One&Only Aesthesis hotel on the beach of Glyfada.
There the couple and their families welcomed friends and relatives to celebrate their love.
The four-story cake that the couple cut, shortly after their arrival, was also impressive. It was white with a striking white flower.
The couple cut the cake smiling while feeding each other. In fact, the groom was particularly cheerful, as he enjoyed himself dancing.
Shortly after the wedding, Andreas Megos published the official portraits of the couple.
In the official photos, the couple is smiling widely, while posing as both of them and with their families.
