Greece's tax bureau releases names of individuals, companies with biggest arrears
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greece’s independent tax authority (AADE) on Friday released the names of individuals and legal entities (all types of businesses) with arrears of more than 150,000 euros to the state or various social security funds.
Two lists are now available on the internet, one with 10,168 individuals and the other with 16,839 legal entities whose arrears are ascribed for at least a year, and where no action to repay the sum has been taken.
Prior to the posting of the names on the two lists, each party was notified by email to settle arrears.
A large number of companies, however, are no longer active, while it’s unknown how many of the individuals are economically active or even alive.
The lists are found at: https://www.aade.gr/dl_assets/dos/ofeilfp2023_utf8.html (individuals) and https://www.aade.gr/dl_assets/dos/ofeilnp2023_utf8.html (legal entities).
