PPC Group signs deal for renewable energy portfolio exceeding 2 GW in Poland and Hungary

PPC Group has signed a strategic agreement to acquire ABO Energy's companies in Poland and Hungary, with a total renewable energy project portfolio exceeding 2 GW, it was announced on Friday.
The agreement marks a new milestone for PPC Group’s “ green” European portfolio, significantly strengthening and consolidating its presence in Central and Southeastern Europe.Under the agreement, PPC Group will acquire ABO Energy’s subsidiaries ABO Energy Polska z.o.o. and ABO Energy Hungary Kft, adding two fully staffed project development platforms, along with their specialised teams in each country.
The portfolio includes 29 special purpose vehicles (SPVs) holding 99 MW of photovoltaic projects either in operation or nearing completion, as well as more than 2 GW of projects, including solar, wind and battery storage projects, at various stages of development.
