Emily in Paris: Will the next season be filmed in Greece?

The fifth season, which premiered on Thursday, December 18, took Emily and her friends from Rome back to Paris, while the final episode also included a stop in Venice. In the final scene, however, viewers saw Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, working on a boat that was preparing to dock in Greece.

In this particular scene, Gabriel writes a letter to Emily expressing his feelings and invites her to visit him in Greece, which many considered a foreshadowing of a change of location in the new season.

The rumors were also reinforced by the director and executive producer of the series, Andrew Fleming, who told Us Weekly: "If we assume we get the 'green light', I want to go back to Paris. But I want to go to other places as well. There's a teaser at the end of season 5 about where we might end up - there's a possibility that we'll go there, to Greece."

Samuel Arnold, who plays Julien, also appeared positive about the possibility, saying: "I'm not going to lie. If they want to go back to Greece, whatever the reason, I say 'let's go.' I've never been to Greece."

Lily Collins also gave her answer regarding the possibility of seeing the next season of the series in our country. In a joint interview with her co-star Ashley Park, when asked if there would be an “Emily in Greece,” the actress replied: “I hope so, we don’t know! We don’t know yet if we’re going to do a season 6, so we’re praying for that.”

Ashley Park added: “If there is a season 6, it will definitely go to Greece. We’re leaving it up to chance, but if Gabriel happens to be there and wants to cook for them, fine.” In closing, Lily Collins added: “Who knows?”

A few days ago, Lily Collins was a guest on the Tonight Show and made a reference to Greece again, specifically to the Greek Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

“And the Greek Prime Minister recently said that his wife’s favorite series is Emily in Paris. And that after a big day, what he wants is to go home and watch it with her,” he said, adding: “I was like: What? A hard day at the office? You mean… governing Greece? And then you go home and watch Emily in Paris?”.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis had mentioned the series in May 2023, as a guest on The 2night Show, saying that he watches it with his wife when he wants to relax: “The ultimate relaxation. I watch it with my wife. It entertains me a lot.”
