Man shot and robbed drives to hospital

A well known lawyer was shot and robbed as he was setting off for work, yesterday morning, on Phidiou Street in the suburb of Penteli.
According to police, a little after 09.00 an unknown person approached lawyer Giorgos Antonopoulos and shot him in the head wounding him, albeit lightly. The assailant then grabbed a satchel containing 30,000 euros and fled.
The lawyer, despite bleeding, drove himself to hospital.
This is not the first such robbery in the suburb that houses many well off professionals, since homes are isolated and secluded. In fact there has been a rash of such attacks in recent months.
