Sailors rescued in severe weather

Super Puma helicopters rescued 22 seamen in Andros from the freighter "Goodfaith" which ran aground yesterday in the Strait of Kafireas.
After 18 sailors were rescued by Air Force Super Puma helicopters, the last four sailors, who had stayed on the Cyprus flagged freighter "Goodfaith", were transferred safely ashore by EMAK rescue personnel.
The ship had run aground on the rocks at the northwestern coast of Andros Island in the Strait of Kafireas due to the severe weather .
Previously successive flights by Super Puma helicopters of 384 Search & Rescue Squadron had rescued another 18 members of the crew of the vessel, following commands of the Chief of General Staff Michael Kostarakos.
