A fountain of wine in Naousa

Wine will flow abundantly, at events in Naousa for Carnival weekend, but this time, not just from bottles, but also from the fountain of the main square!
Specifically, the "VAENI Cooperative Winery of Naoussa" will fill the fountain with 32,000 liters xinomavro wine to lure people to the taste and prove that Naoussa is the "City of Wine".
According to the website of the municipality, the vineyards of Naoussa – from Naousa's Designation of Origin Vineyard Zone – which has an area of 700 hectares.
The total production of "Naoussa" Designation of Origin wine amount annually to 2.5 million liters, of which 40% is exported.
