Traditional music legend Achilleas Halkias passes

A great artist of Greek traditional music, the brother of Petro-Loukas Halkias, Achilleas Halkias has died.
The Epirotan fiddler was one of the legends of Greek musical heritage.
He participated in concerts abroad, namely in the United States of America (New York, Chicago, Florida, New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Texas and New Mexico) and other countries such as England, Germany, Sweden, France, Albania, Belgium, the Netherlands, Australia and South Africa. He participated many concerts and musical events, and various albums.
Some of the albums he recorded include: Leventogenna Epirus (1981), Patimata (2001) and Epirotika (2002) . The news of his death was made known through posts on social networks, by his nephew Babis.
