Clashes in Tunisia “bring” cruise ships to Crete

Cruise companies have decided to change their scheduled routes in ports of the Mediterranean Sea, due to clashes in Tunisia and other countries of north Africa.
“MSC’s cruise ships will arrive at the port of Heraklion, instead of Tunisia. More than 15.000 extra tourists will visit Heraklion this summer”, said the chairman of the board of Heraklion Port Authority, Mr. Giannis Bras.
According to Mr. Bras, extra cruise companies -such as Prince Cruises- will “bring” their ships to Heraklion this summer.
It has to be mentioned that more than 1.000 tourists from Japan will visit Heraklion next Thursday (30/4), as cruise ship “Asuka” will dock -for first time- in a European port.
