Desalination plant for Gavdos
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A compact desalination plant will be placed in Gavdos, by “Symplefsis”, a group of volunteers from Athens.
Doctors will also examine all residents of the island.
Gavdos has less than seventy inhabitants and recently received a boatload of over 100 migrants stretching resources to the limit, on Greece's southernmost point.
They will arrive in Gavdos on Wednesday, April 29, after a six day trip to Kimolos, Folegandros, Shinoussa, Thirassia and Kassos and they will depart on May 1 to Antikythera, Peloponnese and Lavrio.
