Sussex Police Release Report on Xekoukoulotakis Death
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Seven months after the mysterious death of Greek journalist Haris Xekoukoulotakis, and just two months since the event became known, Sussex police released the findings on his death.
The 41 year old journalist's body was found in April 2013 at cliffs in Eastbourn, in the UK, with the body bearing multiple lacerations and fractures from the fall.
Two months after his death, the University of Brighton, where he had been working for a year, issued an announcement but made no mention of the causes of death.
Sussex police have so far ruled foul play as the cause of death. Haris Xekoukoulotakis had come to the forefront, in 2006, when he divulged vulgar characterizations hurled against the judiciary by then deputy pubic order minister Markoyannakis that led to the latter's resignation.
Xekoukoulotakis had often stated that he feared for his life, before emigrating to the UK in 2008.
