A total of 64 defendants are to stand trial before a criminal appeals court on Friday on charges of bribery in exchange for a multi-million contract given to Siemens to digitise Greek phone company systems, the so-called "8002 contract."
The "8002 contract" is considered to be the biggest case of corruption involving large amounts of money over a long period of time. The investigation into the case started in 2006.
