Europa League: PAOK Wins, Clinches Next Leg
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Thessaloniki's PAOK made sure of their place in the UEFA Europa League round of 32 with a victory against Shakhter Karagandy, eliminating their opponents from the competition.
Having created the better chances in the opening 45 minutes, PAOK struck in fortuitous circumstances nine minutes into the second half, Aldin Džidić deflecting in a Lucas cross.
The second was added when Stelios Kitsiou shot one into the goal after a pass from substitute Dimitris Salpingidis two minutes into stoppage time.
