- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The Markit Greece Manufacturing PMI came in at 49.70 in April of 2016, up from 49 in the previous month, the highest since January.
However, it was the third consecutive contraction in factory activity as new orders fell further and outstanding business levels deteriorated, employment grew for the second successive month and volumes of production stabilised.
The Markit Greece Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index measures the performance of the manufacturing sector and is derived from a survey of 350 industrial companies.
