SYRIZA Neck to Neck in Polls

A poll conducted by Kapa Research for Sunday's To Vima newspaper shows 23% of respondents preferring ND, and 22.4% preferring SYRIZA, while GD garnered 7.9%.

They are followed by PASOK follows with 6.1%, communist KKE with 5%, the Independent Greeks (ANEL) with 4.5%, and Democratic Left (DIMAR) with 3.4%.

The poll also shows that 45.5% of respondents believe Antonis Samaras as most fit for PM, as against 32.3% for Alexis Tsipras, with 20.2% saying neither.

A poll by Metrisis forr Saturdays Ta Nea newspaper shows 21.5% of respondents preferring ND, and 20.5% preferring SYRIZA, and 6.1% preferring GD, followed by KKE with 4.9%, PASOK with.4.3%, ANEL with 4.1%, and DIMAR 1.6%.

This poll also shows respondents preferring current premier Samaras as most suitable for the job with 37.2% as against 27.1% for Alexis Tsipras. 29.2% preferred no one, while the rest did not answer.

In contrast a poll conducted by Marc for Saturday's Ependytis newspaper shows SYRIZA ahed with a margin of two points with 29.7% of respondents preferring that party as against 27.8% for ND. GD holds third spot with 8.8% followed by ANEL with 6.7%, KKE with 6.6%, PASOK with 6.4%, and DIMAR with 5.8%.
