The representatives of Ryanair underlined the exceptional prospects of Thessaloniki's Macedonia airport that is constantly developing as well as the difficulties the airlines will face as of mid-February 2017 and for a period of three months due to technical works.
The commercial director of Ryanair David O'Brien announced that four new flights will be added in Thessaloniki's schedule in summer 2017 along with the recently added flight to Berlin.
The international airport of Thessaloniki is expected to post a 14 percent increase in the number of flights while Athens only 1 percent due to the high airport cost.
The new flights will link the city of Thessaloniki with Hamburg, Copenhagen, Dormund and Gothenburg. 1.9 million passengers travel to Thessaloniki by Ryanair every year.
