Mitsotakis, Katainen discuss Brexit, Greek economy, challenges for EU

New Democracy President Kyriakos Mitsotakis discussed the challenges facing the European Union on Tuesday in a working lunch with the European Commission’s Vice President Jyrki Katainen who is visiting Athens.
The two officials discussed Britain’s decision to exit the EU and the protectionism tendencies that have emerged recently throughout the world. Party sources said they also focused on the need for Greece to utilize the financing tools offered by the EU to boost employment, entrepreneurship and investments.
Mitsotakis informed Katainen for the recent political and economic developments in Greece.
