UN chief invites Anastasiades-Akinci to New York for talks

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres invited on Wednesday Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Turkish-Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci to New York on June 4 for a joint meeting.
The two leaders accepted the invitation but the date has not been finalized. Akinci’s spokesman said the Turkish-Cypriot leader has proposed June 5 for the meeting while Anastasiades has not yet stated a date.
