- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Aiming to tap into new markets, the Greek Marinas Association (GMA) said this week that it is preparing a two-year action plan for sailing tourism and the promotion of marina industry activities.
The goal of the project, to be completed within the year, is to create a detailed and cost-effective strategy focusing on priority areas including research and evaluation of tourism data, product development, experience planning, promotion and strategic partnerships to attract travelers seeking marine Recreation experiences to Greece.
Destination marketing agency Topofany has undertaken the project on behalf of the GMA and will proceed with the analysis of international and domestic trends and assessments of international competition regulations, hoping in this way to contribute to the promotion of maritime tourism as well as boosting the country's tourism product .
In this direction, the GMA also plans to participate in international tourism fairs as well as publish a specialized guide.
