"Smart" car crashes into apatment building

Yesterday, the inhabitants of Grigoropoulos Street in Exarcheia were flabbergasted to see a two person Smart car enter an ... apartment building.
The driver of the vehicle with tinted glasses, under unspecified conditions, burst into the block of flats, at high speed, destroying the entrance facade and the windows of the central door. The course of the car ended after it surmounted the steps of the entranceway.
Fortunately, at the moment, there were no passers by or residents in the path of the car and the worst was avoided.
Immediately after this strange accident, the Smart driver and co-driver disappeared. As it turned out, according to information, the car had been stolen and that may have been the reason the occupants fled the scene in almost a fraction of a second.
Police are investigating the incident.
