Police proceeded to arrest a 22-year-old, whose hands were found stained with paint, following incidents at the French Embassy in Athens.
The man was arrested for the damage caused on Sunday morning by the Rouvikonas collective to the embassy of France, just a few meters away from Parliament.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed on an anti-authoritarian site due to France's involvement in the Syrian bombing.
The 22-year-old that was remanded into custody is a member of the "Rouvikonas" anrchist activist collective.
