Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and the wife of the Greek prime minister Betty Baziana paid a visit to the Benaki Museum in Athens during the British royal couple's official visit to Greece.
The premier's wife accompanied the Duchess on a tour of the museum, housed in a neoclassical mansion that was once the home of the Benaki family, and the museum's collection of representative examples of Greek art throughout history, from prehistoric times until the present day.
The Benaki Museum is the oldest private cultural institution in Greece and among the best regarded of its kind, having attained international repute and highlighted all stages of Greek culture and history under the direction of the late Angelos Delivorrias.
