Kotzia taunts Kammenos: Let's put the issue of the government to the vote
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias has cast the gauntlet at ANEL President Panos Kammenos on the FYROM name issue, essentially calling on SYRIZA's government partner to call for a vote of confidence in the government.
As he said, "I hear the scenario that ANEL will go to the President of the Republic to unseat the government. Governments do not fall like this, they fall in parliament and through the vote. Whoever wants to, can make a proposal to the House and then we will discover all the secrets of the House and the real collusions."
He added that "I do not think the Tsipras government will fall that way, it will go to elections whenever the prime minister decides". He opined, however, that the elections would precede the ratification of the Prespes Agreement.
Mr Kotzias, in an interview with ERT1, insisted that the referendum in Skopje is not a legal condition or condition in the Prespes Agreement, contrary to what P. Kammenos said, who described the FYROM referendum as "void".
