Alexis Tsipras in Varna for Greece-Bulgaria-Serbia-Romania Summit, Netanyahu also present

Netanyahu is in Varna at the invitation of Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov and will be also present at the working dinner after the conclusion of the summit.

Tsipras will meet with Borisov after the end of the working dinner on Friday.

According to information, Mr. Tsipras is expected to point out that the successful implementation of the Prespa agreement, supported by all the countries in the region, will have multiple benefits for stability and economic growth in Southeastern Europe, while Northern Greece  becomes one of the most important regional energy, commercial, shipping, transport and transit hubs.

Also, Mr. Tsipras is expected to highlight Greece's position as a pillar of stability for the wider region and the role it can play as a link between the Southeastern Mediterranean and Southeastern Europe.

Today's Quartet Summit is the fifth in the series (the previous one was held in Thessaloniki). This scheme began as a Tripartite Greece-Bulgaria-Serbia, with the first Synod being held in Thessaloniki and very soon it developed into a Quartet with the participation of Romania, with the first Synod being held one year ago in Varna.
